Christopher A. Grant is the President and CEO of Next Move Jamaica International, Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Grant is the founder and CEO of Next Move Jamaica (Jamaica) Limited, a limited liability company in Jamaica that specializes in scholarship publication, scholarship administrative services including education funding consultancy, scholarship based social media and events management services.
Previously, he worked with the Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) in Jamaica as an Immigration Officer. And most recently, a volunteered Resume Coach and college preparation consultant with the Brooklyn Library Services in the low income communities in Brooklyn, New York.
Mr. Grant graduated from the University of Technology, Jamaica with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and International Business and as recently completed a course in Radiologic Technologist at the New York Methodist, Bartone School of Radiography. He is now in his third career as a ARRT registered and New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist.
Mrs. Lisa A. Atkins is the Chief Operating Officer and current Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Next Move Jamaica International, Inc. Mrs. Atkins is an attorney at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP and is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
She concentrates her practice in the area of corporate law, with emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, securities law, corporate finance and corporate governance. She represents clients in a wide range of complex transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, proxy contests, leveraged buyouts, tender offers and joint ventures.
Lisa received her B.A. from Boston University and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, a fellow for the Dennis J. Block Center for the Study of International Business and Vice President of the Black Law Students Association. She was also selected as a fellow for the New York City Bar Association Diversity Fellowship Program in 2007.
Ms. Leesa Fenderson is a member of its Board of Directors of Next Move Jamaica International, Inc. Ms. Fenderson is a member of the New York State Bar. She is an attorney at Trunk Archive, a New York based image licensing agency known for its curated art and representation of some the world’s most iconic image-makers.
She previously worked at Rolling Stone Magazine as an attorney, Banc of America Securities, Hachette Book Group, and as a recruiter for her alma mater Brooklyn Law School. Ms. Fenderson graduated from Temple University, Brooklyn Law School, a Masters in Fine Arts and is currently fellowship candidate at Columbia University’s Graduate School of the Arts.
Leesa’s public awareness work includes volunteerism with organization such as the National Society of Black Engineers, Futures & Options, and the Black Law Students Association where she served as Vice President and President.
